Mending Evening 06

7 people (including a 3 week old and a 2 year old) joined the mending session tonight.

Tonight’s Mends

A tear in a woolen baby suit was darned.
A well loved woolen sweater continues to be be cared for. Today a hole in the armpit was darned with bright blue yarn.
A deep red woolen hat was embellished with white tidy embroidery.
One striped t-shirt was patched.
A pocket with 2 holes was sewn back up so no more earphones are lost.

Introducing the Care Cart!

Today I prepared the Care Cart! It is a office trolly filled with tools and materials for the LolaLijn Mending Evenings.

The bottom drawer is designed to be a document organizer, which is now filled with different kind of fabric. My dream of making a scrap library is taking shape in this little office trolly!
